SITUATION
Vidispine has been integrated into other ISV solutions for many years. Lately there has been an increased interest in cloud-based delivery and deployment. An ISV recently wished to have Vidispine capabilities deployed at hundreds of clients. All of the ISV’s clients were Microsoft Azure-based and integrated also to EPiServer and SharePoint. The common way to do this would not suffice.

Vidispine lets users integrate video into a website, CMS, SharePoint, apps, or any other solution or software being used. It assigns full control of images and videos, including multiple formats, rights, user management, metadata, multiple locations, archiving, editing, and more. There is also a .NET SDK so users can start to build integrations quickly.
SOLUTION
By making Vidispine available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, ISVs and other customers can easily spin up and deploy the Vidispine solution into theirs. Vidispine uses Azure blob storage and Azure Active Directory to power its product. With Azure’s variety of tools and scalability, Vidispine can more easily comply with IT department policies and add more storage, CDN capabilities, burst out transcoding, and many similar services that are important in an enterprise IT context.
