3. Syllabus
Sent home on the first day of school. Parents must have signed and returned. It can be found online and I can send an additional copy home per parent request.

4. Grading Criteria
All Classes:
90%-100% A
80%-89% B
70%-79% C
Below 69%
Grades will be updated after exams, including all homework.
Extra credit only added if student has a 70% at end of the semester.

5. Classroom Expectations
Class Rules Be punctual and prepared for class.
 Raise your hand if you wish to speak.
 When the teacher is instructing or when a fellow student is addressing the class, stop all activity and listen attentively. Refrain from reading, writing, drawing, etc.
 Keep your desk and surrounding area free from trash and graffiti.
 Keep aisles clear. There should not be any backpacks, books, or feet  in the aisles.
 Grooming and eating should be done at home, during nutrition, and during lunch, not during class. Any grooming objects (make-up, brush, etc.) or food that is seen will be confiscated.
 Distruptive behavior, use of profanity or obscenity, will result in a call home and referral to the dean’s office.
 The bell does not dismiss you, Mrs. Glover dismisses you.
I will confiscate the following items:
Hats, Make-up, Electronics, Food, Drinks, Notes, Magazines

6. Attendance Policy & Class Partication
School policy: no more than __7__
Days absent each semester to participate in extra curricular activities.
Class participation: ___30___% of grade

7. Classroom Instruction
Share UCPs used during class.
i.e. graphic organizers, exit strategies
Teaching strategies to increase understanding (Cooperative groups, Talk time, discussion, Think-Pair-Share, all leading to higher levels of thinking)
