Assistant Governor Responsibility
Your primary role is to assist the governor with the administration of your assigned Rotary clubs by helping them to be more effective

Rotary International Strategic Plan
Strategic priorities Identifies three strategic priorities supported by 16 goals: (on the back of sheet) The 5 sections under the strategic priorities are our Core Values as Rotarians Rotary’s core values represent the guiding principles of the organization’s culture, including what guides members’ priorities and actions within the organization. Values are an increasingly important component in strategic planning because they drive the intent and direction of the organization’s leadership.

Do club projects and their importance meet the immediate and vital needs of the community? EXTERNAL What is the Club’s relevance in the community? 2. How well known is the club among its civic leaders and local residents? 3. How well is the club aligned with strategic partners? 4. What is the importance of the club's strategic partners? Does the club engage local media as sponsors to deliver the Rotary message? Can the club define its Target Audience? Vital Community Projects New /Old Member Training

Informs the community about your club activities, events and services … builds awareness and credibility Public Image: What your club stands for and how you are perceived… your clubs image in the community

Clubs will be able to do : Enhance the club’s public image Gain support and resources for projects Build links with other community organizations Attract qualified members Recognize Rotary members for their contribution to the community Correct misconceptions about the club and Rotary

You do not need to be an expert in Public Relations and Public Image Know the available resources and where to find them Encourage clubs to have a Public Relations Committee Share ideas on promoting Rotary and their club Connect clubs with district and zone PI resources Understand the importance of a positive public image to the club and Rotary Inform, inspire and empower the clubs about the Strengthen Rotary Initiative
