4. Individual writing activity
On your own paper:
Babies grow and develop in many ways. Caregivers have many responsibilities to make sure a baby’s needs are met from feeding to changing diapers. These are just 2 of the physical needs infants have. Infants also have emotional and intellectual and social needs that must be met. Write a paragraph in which you describe what you think makes a happy, healthy baby. ( 5 – 7 Minutes)

5. Good Paragraph tips
1. Make sure the paragraph focuses on one main idea.
2. Use transition words to link ideas such as: then, however, because.
Make sure all the sentences in each paragraph support the main idea.

6. Small Group Sharing
Read your paragraph aloud to your group and discuss the ideas brought up.
