Gathers the news, writes it, edits it, or otherwise prepares it for print or broadcast Editor Supervises preparation of all part f a newspaper, newsmagazine, or newscast

4 Mass Communication The name given to the process followed by all the different media – from television to newspapers to the internet – to provide information, influence thinking, incite action, and entertain.

6 Mass Communication Communication requires two things:
Sender Receiver It must also have a message.

Interpersonal vs. Mass Interpersonal A conversation between you and another person Share ideas, opinions, views, etc. Mass Message comes from one source Does not allow the receiver to respond
