In 1241 local people sought refuge here from Tatars In 1305 a Carthusian monastery was built here It was demolished in 1543

Dobšinská ice cave Being famous for its ice decorations, it’s the most visited place in Slovak Paradise The temperature is as low as -3.8°C It was on of the first caves in the world to be electrified
