Agence France-Presse 20 September 1998 Two people were killed, including a child, and 27 injured in a bomb explosion at a busy vegetable market in the Yemeni port city of Aden on Sunday, police said. Police said the boy was selling water as a TNT device exploded on a merchant's barrow. A tea merchant was also killed, while the man pushing the barrow was seriously hurt and both his legs were amputated in hospital. The blast in Sheikh Othman suburb took place near the local municipality building and a police post.

DATELINE: Kigali Copyright 1998 Deutsche Presse-Agentur Two Rwandan army soldiers killed seven people and wounded four others in southern Butare district, official sources reported Tuesday. The two soldiers had gone back to their village looking for a man they said had killed many of their relatives. Military sources reported that when the soldiers found the man in a local bar drinking with other villagers, they threw a grenade in the bar and opened fire on the people, killing seven and wounding four others. One of the soldiers was later caught by security forces, while the second one escaped.
