Financial Update (Mike):
P&L and Balance Sheet Format: Steve asked for the P&L and Balance sheets to be formatted for comparability. He would like to see the financials be set up to show comparability between periods of time, such as Jan. ‘16 vs Jan. ‘17. Julie has the action to communicate with Mike and Kim on this suggested change.
59% of membership dues are received.
Old Business:
- One-Pager Document: Julie reached out to Jeff Cameron who created our new logo asking if he’d be interested in helping us with the one-pager doc. Jeff is interested, but due to his teaching schedule is unavailable until May. The Board supported continuing to work with Jeff and waiting until May to get started.
New Business:
- AME Conference: Julie reminded the Board to let her know if they want to attend the AME Conference in Boston in October. Julie will purchase registrations for Board members.
Event Updates (Julie):
Learning Tours: 3 scheduled for Organically Grown has pulled out due to lack of leadership support. Julie will continue to reach out to the members who have indicated an interest in hosting.
Training Classes: The IK/CK class will be hosted by Toyo Tanso on April 5th. There is some interest in creating a Cost Accounting class to help our members link improvements in “events” to business results (learn the Exec. language: direct cost, quality, lead time measures). Alex suggested we start with a SIG to gauge interest and to gain an understanding of what our members need. Julie has the action to start the steps of creating a SIG.
Executive Forums: Both 5-part series of the Lean and the Human Element are full!
Leadership Session: Scott Simmons session was well received. The video is on our YouTube page. Julie will work to start putting together the Col. Athen’s June 6th session.
