4. Plan for Increasing Grades
On your grade reflection sheet, fill out your plan for working to increase your grades. Below you will find different strategies you may want to include in your plan:
After school tutoring (Monday-Thursday; 2:15pm-4:00pm in the library)
Talk to your teachers before or after school
Dedicate extra time at home to study
Attend a study session with friends
Lunch time in the library

5. Attendance Information
Please read through the attendance information provided. This is important information about the policies of the Bethel School District relating to attendance. When completed, please sign and give to your student’s advisor before you leave today.

6. Credit Recovery/Retrieval
If you have failed any classes, you will need to retrieve those lost credits. Here are opportunities for you to recover those missing credits:
Zero Hour/7th Period Classes
Summer School Online Courses*
BYU Online Courses*
Fuel ED Online Course*
* Additional Cost for Families for These Options

7. Grad Requirements -- Credits
(To be on track, you need 16.5 credits right now)
You will need 22.5 total credits in the specific content areas listed below:
ELA -- 4 credits
MATH -- 3 credits
SCIENCE -- 2 credits
SOCIAL STUDIES -- 3 credits
HEALTH/FITNESS credits
FINE ARTS -- 1 credits
CTE -- 1 credit
ELECTIVE -- 5 credits
Culminating Project (completed through Advisory)-- 1 credit

8. Grad Requirements -- State Tests
Required to pass:
ELA SBA
Math SBA or EOC Algebra or EOC Geometry

9. SBA SCORE REPORT
If you have taken the SBA and would like a more detailed report about your score, please visit the counseling center to get a copy of your SBA SCORE REPORT.

10. FAFSA
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a mechanism to help provide resources for financial aid to students for postsecondary education including colleges, universities, tech schools, and trade schools.
Student can complete a FAFSA beginning October 1st of their senior year.
Students must have a completed FAFSA to receive college scholarships and aid
Any federal student loan requires a completed FAFSA
The sooner a student completes the FAFSA, the more aid is available for the student (First Come, First Served)

11. WASFA
Similar to the FAFSA, the WASFA is the Washington application for State Financial Aid specifically for students who are not eligible for Federal Financial Aid because of immigration status.
Students can complete a WASFA beginning October 1st of their senior year.

12. College Bound
If you signed up for the College Bound program in 8th grade, make sure you are:
Maintaining a 2.0 GPA
Stay out of trouble
Fill out a FAFSA during your SENIOR year beginning Oct. 1st

13. Career Center
The Career Center is always open during lunch. This is a great time to talk to someone about possible careers you want more information about and/or different schools (colleges, universities, tech schools, trade schools) you are interested in attending.

November 8th -- Jostens Senior Order Day (10:30am-7:00pm)
November 8th -- Senior Family Night (6pm-8pm)
November 16th -- FAFSA Help/Completion Night (5pm-8pm)
December 11th -- Last Day to Order Cap/Gown
December 16th -- Deadline for Senior Yearbook Photo
February 2nd -- End of First Semester
February 28th -- Deadline for Senior Ads for Yearbook
May 23rd-26th -- Student-Led Conferences
June 5th -- Senior Awards Night
June 8th -- Senior Awards Assembly
June 14th -- Graduation
