I.A.N. – Inter-Active Notebook
It will consist of daily Cornell Notes, Handouts, Assignments, Labs, Homework, and Quizzes. Do NOT throw anything away unless I have said to do so. We will go into great detail as to how this is set up and maintained. The I.A.N. is a powerful tool to help you be successful. Without it, you will most definitely fail this class. If at any time during the six weeks you misplace your I.A.N., you will have to come before or after school to recopy the whole thing and repeat the missing work. Expect surprise I.A.N. checks twice a Six-Weeks. (Counts as major Quiz Grades)

Find as many things wrong with it as possible. When you have done that, each person will create a “Lab Safety One-Pager” to correct one of the “wrongs” that we discussed in class today. Your One-Pager must include the following: Using only the FRONT side of a sheet of computer paper you need to demonstrate your understanding of lab safety. Your page must include: At least 6 different colors (black, white, and grey don’t count) A title and symbolic border 3 graphics of safety equipment 1 bad scenario AND the solution 3 key terms and brief definitions This page must also include a poem, rap or song about LAB SAFETY. Each letter of the topic will start a new line: Lab Safety, Lab Safety Always on my mind Being a responsible classmate Surely is worth my time
