3
Status of this Week’s Milestones
February 22, 2005 Development environment setup begun – Jostin, Bill, Jon Application version released (60% functionality) – Bill Website progress report and last week’s presentation posted – Jostin Weekly presentation – Jostin Conference Call to George – Jostin, Jon Scheduled Meeting in Huntsville Continued Software Development - Bill
4
Hardware Update Bailment Agreement Application Server
Still In Progress Mutual Exchange Clause added by AMCOM Lawyers Application Server Reformat Drive Install Windows Server 2003 Install SQL Server
5
Hardware Update Pelco DX8000
Addressed George’s Concerns with the system during conference call His Concerns are: Resolution/Frame Rate Proprietary Video format Uncompressed AVI Exporting Feature Recovery Disks Hard Drive Space Called Technical Support Two Boxes must be used to achieve desired frame rate and resolution
6
Software Update Functionality Code Volume Main Menu (Complete)
Enter New Test Record (Complete) Display Test Record (75% Complete) Upload Data Files ( 0% Complete) Search for Test Case ( 0% Complete) Code Volume ~1500 Lines

8
Software Architecture
Two Main Types of Code Code for backend processing on the application server Database access Recordset parsing File upload and storage Code for page creation and formatting Navigation Bars Displayed Form Controls and Links Element style enforcement
9
Software Architecture
Utilizes a Global Namespace Almost all functions, subroutines and objects are available at anytime Centralized Processing Utilize a single file to handle all application state transitions Simple and elegant design Prevents code and modules of the application from becoming fragmented or disconnected Facilitates easy extension of the application Increases security because it hides asp file information
10
Basic Processing Algorithm
default.asp Final State Current State default.asp Pre-Processing - Database Access File Transfers - Object Creation Post-Processing Page Creation -Display Results
11
Processing Example Display Test Page - Display test information
Create a new test Record in the database Populate the record with the new test parameters Commit the new test record to the database New Test Page - Enter the test parameters Display Test Page - Display test information Create the page to display to the user Populate the page with the new test information just committed
