What are the four purposes of government? Based off the reading from yesterday, what do you think is the most powerful way to participate in government? Explain. Opinion: Do you think the government the USA uses works? Why or why not?

1. In your notebook, make a list of three individuals, institutions, and circumstances that have power over you. For each item, write a brief description of how it has power over you. 2. Now make a list of three individuals, institutions, and circumstances in which you have power. For each one, briefly describe how you have power. 3. Summarize in two or three sentences how you feel about power in your life.
