7 Enabling Act of 1802 Authorized the people of Ohio to begin the transition from Territory to State Required people to elect a delegate for every 1200 people to attend a Constitutional Convention

8 Enabling Act of 1802 The delegates attended the convention and voted to form a Constitution and a State Representatives wrote the Constitution The Constitution set up Ohio’s government It was signed in February of 1803 Ohio was admitted as the 17th state on March 1, 1803.
