4. 5 Rules: Singular to Plural
1st Rule
Regular Nouns- add “s” to the end.
2nd Rule
Nouns that end with “y” with a vowel before it, add “s” to make it plural.
Nouns that end with “y”, change it to “-ies”

3rd Rule
If a singular noun ends in sh, ch, ss, s, or x, add “-es”

If the word ends in “f” or “fe” change to “-ves”

Add “ ‘s” to singular noun
The boy’s calculator was stolen.
Add “ ‘s” to plural noun that does not end in s.
The men’s clothes are on sale today.
Add just an apostrophe to a plural noun that already ends in “s”
The boys’ locker room is smelly.

A possessive pronouns names who or what owns or has something.
These pronouns are always “coupled” with another noun
