SCHOOL RESUMES on Tuesday, Jan. 2. SWIMMING: The second graders will begin their swimming lessons at the YMCA in Austin. Each second grader needs to bring their own swimming suit and towel. This should be in a plastic bag so that after the lessons, the wet suit and towel may go back into the plastic bag. We will do this for 8 weeks. The bus will leave at 12:15 and return to Grand Meadow at 2:45. 2ND GRADE SWIMMING SCHEDULE: January 9, 16, 23, 30 February 6, 13, 20, 27 YMCA SWIMMING REGISTRATION FORM: Please complete the ½ sheet registration form and return it to the classroom teacher. ROLLERSKATING will continue for a couple of more weeks! Students should remember to wear long socks to avoid blisters. MATH: When we return in January, the second graders will be learning how to add two digit numbers with regrouping. PRODIGY: Is a free app to reinforce students’ math skills. The students love this game and their log in information is in the front of their black Lark binders. TUESDAYS: On Tuesday mornings, Linda Lind is coming to our classrooms to offer assistance. Ms. Lind is a retired teacher and Mrs. Munson’s mother. WARM CLOTHES: Winter is here! The playground wind is nasty. All students should have hat, mittens, warm jacket, snow pants, and boots. A scarf is also VERY helpful. HAPPY HOLIDAYS! ENJOY YOUR FAMILY TIME TOGETHER.
