1. Know the vocabulary about relationships. 2. Use the conditional clause “–if” to put forward a question. 3. Explain your answer by using “-because”. 4. Describe people around you. 5. Introduce people, formally or informally. Are you clear about what you are going to learn in this unit?

5 Lesson A Read about these people in Mario’s life and finish Exercise A (Page 2). Think about people in your life and write down 6 similar statements. Pair work: who would you talk to in the situations below? (Page 3) --Who would you talk to if… --I’d talk to…, because…

6 Situations You have some troubles in the office.
You quarreled with your parents. You feel unsatisfied with your present life. You want to talk about your future. You fall in love with someone but you don’t know what you should do. You worry a lot about your study.

7 Nosy Nora Listen to Track 2-1-1 and find out the meaning of “nosy”.
Listen to Track and do exercise B. Group discussion: --What are some people nosy about? --Do you know any nosy people? appearance, personality, profession, family background, house, children, etc.

Classroom activity on Page 6. --the simple present tense --the present continuous tense Listen to Track and talk about special people in your life. My parents are important to me because they always trust me and when I am in trouble, they always can help me or let me feel supported. Homework: write about people special to you.
