2. Program Eligibility
All local government entities are eligible for state and federal property
Must be enrolled and current, file includes:
Application
Designated selector list (authorizes funds)
Non-discrimination assurance certificate
Charter or legislation that established entity
Other supporting documentation
May be central or decentralized
Requires periodic updates depending on type of entity
There is always a service charge (accept P-card, PO, entity check)
There are restrictions on all transactions
Weekly s are available for both state and federal programs

Know your state neighbors, Direct Negotiated Sale is a preferred disposal method

Password: GASURPLUS
Contact surplus with the “Item Control Number”
DOAS requests allocation from GSA
If allocated, DOAS will send a Pick-up Authorization Letter
Property must be removed within 14 days
Restrictions vary depending on type of property
Screening Tips:
Be sure to check location, property available worldwide
Narrow search by category, item, state, etc.
Don’t use browser “back arrow”, use back “button”, top right
