Cross sectional study of caregivers of those with AD &MCI report tremendous amount of stress.

3. Aim & Objectives
To study the perceived stress scores among AD/MCI caregivers compared to controls.
To find out predictors of caregiver stress in Indian patients with AD/MCI & compare the Perceived stress scores of controls with other chronic diseases.

4. Material & Methods Patients were interviewed using
Perceived Stress Scale (PSS)
Blessed Activity of Daily Living (ADL)

Significant difference was found between the PSS and ADL scores between patients with AD/MCI and controls (p=<0.0001).
Correlation between MMSE & PSS was significant.

Correlation between PSS & ADL was significant (Correlation Coefficient=0.2437).

9. Conclusion
Caregivers of patients with AD/MCI have high PSS score than controls in the present study.
As compared to control with other chronic illness, caregivers of patients with AD/MCI are have experience higher levels of stress.
