3. What they are Plant Cell: In most plants Help repair damage
Have a box-shape, divided

4. Animal Cell Parts Cell Membrane: the layer outside, used as protection
Cytoplasm: gel liquid that supports the structure
Nucleus: power center, controls the cell
Mitochondria: supplies energy for the cell
Vacuoles: stores water, food, waste

5. Plant Cell Parts:
Cell Wall: Another layer of protection ONLY in plant cell
Chloroplast: green structure using energy from sunlight to produce food for plant. Green because of chlorophyll

6. Tissues, Organs, and Organ Systems
Tissues: similar cells grouped together
Organs: a group of tissues working together (brain, heart, lungs, etc)
Organ System: A group of organs working together (circulatory, respitory, nervous, etc.)
