1 IEEE 2600 Protection Profile Group
MFP Security

2 Description Section Will Provide Four or more Protection Profiles
Profiles will be designed to be suitable for actual evaluation and validation. Profiles will be included that address fully featured MFP’s including copy, print, scan, fax and document storage capabilities. Profiles will address environments requiring security robustness required for Public / Non-Corporate Environments Good Commercial / Corporate Practice Above Average Commercial / Corporate Practice including Government

3 Tasks to be Addressed Develop Profiles fully consistent with CC Parts 1, 2 and 3 The version of CC used will be the most recent posted on the NIAP site (Note: A new release is pending) The initial draft will be developed as a team effort to reach consensus on the definition and scope of the core PP components such as the TOE and TOE Security Environment Once the scope of the TOE and the Environment are clear a complete initial document will be drafted. The design, completeness, and consistency of the initial PP draft will be tested using the NIAP Toolkit The Ricoh draft will be used as the working document to discuss section content and reach agreement on strategy

4 Materials Required Common Criteria Manuals NIAP Toolkit CD
CC Part 1, 2 and 3 V 2.1 or later as posted by NIAP NIAP Toolkit CD Reference materials developed and posted by IEEE P2600 working group.

5 Process Team effort to be used for initial PP to confirm strategy and consensus on documents to follow The most robust profile will be developed first to provide a working framework for the scope and level of the documents to follow Team will then be split to allow two or more team members to focus in parallel on at least three initial Profiles

6 Protection Profile Team Editor - Ron Nevo - Ohta-san
Project Time Required Function of timeline to complete the initial sample reference model or template required to expedite development of the other Profiles Function of the availability of team members between meetings Protection Profile Team Editor - Ron Nevo - Ohta-san
