Online Timesheets (for casual staff)

2 Casual staff access online timesheets, their payslip, and maintain their personal details through Massey’s self service portal MyHR: Either a Massey network usercode or a personal address can be used to access MyHR. If you do not yet have access to MyHR, please contact or extn for assistance with arranging access.

3 Once you have logged in, click the Casual Timesheets tile to create a new timesheet or to access a previous timesheet. If you have more than one job, first select a job, and then select the fortnight ending date. Timesheet with the status of ‘Draft’ will be displayed, and you can change the status to view any or all other statuses. You can create a new timesheet by two methods. Either click ‘Create a New Timesheet’ or click the date on any previously submitted timesheet to create a copy. The option of ‘Copy Timesheet’ is available at the bottom of the selected timesheet.

4 Select the timesheet code, (PAY for most jobs)
Select the timesheet code, (PAY for most jobs). The rate will populate in the Rate Hr/Unit column, but it can not be edited. Start & finish times can be entered, using the 24 hour clock HHMM format or A total of Hours worked for the day can be entered or If you are paid per unit (e.g. for each assignment marked), enter the amount to be paid in the Units Worked column. Detailed help information is available by clicking any blue i If the hours worked need to be advised to a supervisor, click the search icon in the supervisor column to select the person’s name. Add the supervisors’ name to every row in the timesheet that they need to view. They will receive an FYI when the timesheet is submitted. Use the free text Reference field to record information about the work done - ask your department if information is required in this column.

5 When finished, either save as draft, or submit if you have completed this fortnight’s timesheet.
Other statuses will display in the following circumstances: Timesheets that have the status of ‘approved’ have been approved by a Timesheet Approver. A timesheet that has been ‘processed’ has been uploaded into the payroll system, and will be paid to you on the next available pay date. A timesheet that has been ‘withdrawn’ has been submitted but then subsequently withdrawn. A timesheet that has been declined by a Timesheet Approver will show the status of ‘declined’. A timesheet that was processed by payroll, but removed from the system prior to payment will show the status of ‘cancelled’.
