2 Today we are going to learn:
Words and phrases connected with presents How to make and respond to suggestions, give opinions and agree on a choice What to say when you give or accept a gift

3 - Have you heard that Jane is leaving. - Too bad
- Have you heard that Jane is leaving? - Too bad. We all are going to miss her. - In my opinion we should get her a going away present. - That is a good idea. - What can we get for her? Maybe we can get her a book? - That sounds nice, but it’s a bit boring. - Yeah, maybe you are right. What do you suggest?

4 - Maybe we can get her an ‘experience’ gift
- Maybe we can get her an ‘experience’ gift. - Sounds great, do you have any ideas what she may be interested in? - Well, I think we can give her a gift voucher for the hot air balloon ride or a dance lesson or a parachute jump with an instructor or a pottery class. - Wow. Why don’t we set a budget for the gift? - You are right, we can not afford an extravagant gift.

5 - Yes. So I’m in favour of giving a useful gift or something she can do. And I would like to choose a gift that is beautiful or exciting. - I have a great idea! She loves cakes. Let’s buy a cake for the going away party and also a voucher to a bakery class. - It is a wonderful idea. - So we’ve made our decision. Great.
