ABSTRACT This project deals with analysis of structure due to various loading like dead load , live load , seismic load and designing various structural members like slab, beam , column , staircase and also the footing. The structure is an aesthetically appealing one, it is “T and inverted T”. The apartment has five blocks. The building comprises of totally 3 stories (G+3). The apartment is based on the concept of resisting the earthquake. The limit state method of design is used for design of all the components. The analysis of the structure is done using the software STAAD Pro V8i and the estimation of the building is to be done by Quantity Take Off.

The total cost for one apartment is Rs = 4,67,76,292.00
The total cost for five apartment is Rs = 23,38,81,460.00 For plumbing and electrical works add 15% of Total =Rs.3,50,82,219.00 For contingencies add 5% of total cost =Rs.1,16,94,073.00 The total cost of our project is =Rs.32,74,34,044.00

CONCLUSION The proposed residential apartment has been analyzed and designed. All the results of analysis and design are found to be safe. The limit state method of design is used for design of all the components. This method of design is considered to be better than the other methods available for design particularly for buildings. From the design results it has been concluded that this design can be adopted for any residential apartment. The estimated material cost of the apartment is found to be Rs 4,67,76, This amount implies only the material cost excluding labour cost. Hence , nowadays to construct (G+3) residential apartment with standard material specifications approximately 5 to 6 crore is needed.
