What factors influence a person to work? Managers need to motivate employees to achieve goals Intrinsic Satisfaction from an activity itself without threats or rewards from outside More likely if: Success is a result of something they’ve done They have control over the results They are interested in the work they are doing Extrinsic Motivators from external factors – often money!!$$
