2. Portfolio mood board
These portfolios all look fairly similar showing what designs I see as the best. They are all simple and I would like to take that into my own site. Most have the header containing the masthead and navigation bar which is very conventional and fits well. The images are used very well as they will be used as hyperlinks to the articles which is what I would like to use in my website. The colours are simple but don’t look boring in my eyes but due to my genre of football I might make a change of using brighter colours. The fonts used all look really good as well with the “I am Kaiju” looking purposely distorted which adds an interesting element so I may look to use an unconventional font myself.

3. Font Ideas Blocking. Comic Sans. I would like to use fonts such as:
Blackoak Std.
Blocking.
Comic Sans.
I would like to use these fonts as they are simple but stand out and I feel the blocking font is unique and isn’t what most people would use.

4. Colours I could use
I would like to use colours like black as it is simple and is effective however due to my genre being football maybe colours like red and blue may be more suitable as they stand out more. The thing with football is depending on who you support different colours represent football to you. For example if you were a Newcastle United fan black and white would represent football whereas if you support Barcelona its red and blue. I think red and blue would be better choices as they stand out and grab attention more than just black and white.

5. Images
For my website I won’t want to use copyrighted images so I will need to search for images that are license free. I can do this by going to websites such as pexels to get free stock images that relate to my genre. Because I wouldn’t want my site to be copyrighted. Below are a few examples.

6. Interactive Features
Most websites include social media interactive features which is what I would also like to include. This is useful because it gives the idea that you are interested in your audience’s views. It also adds to the professionalism of the site overall which can help people take the work produced on that website more seriously.

I have used this tutorial from the adobe website as it is the most reliable. The best parts from this for me was just giving me a basic idea of how to set up a template and include interactive features such as contact links and creating navigation bars. This has helped me greatly in building my knowledge of making websites.
