The gate is wide
The “gate” represents entrance or access to the way
This gate is “wide” suggesting that it allows many to enter without any real scrutiny – an “open border”
Nothing required, no restrictions – You can believe whatever you want, bring whatever baggage you want

The way is easy
The “way” represents the kind of life one chooses to live
The way of destruction is “easy”, there are no rules or boundaries – You can basically do whatever you want

Everything about this way is destructive
The end is Eternal destruction in Hell! – 2 Thessalonians 1:6-9

Those that enter by it are many
Most people will choose this way because it’s easy!
Many travel this way by default without even knowing it – Proverbs 14:12

The gate is narrow
The word “narrow” suggests that it’s more restrictive – Matthew 7:21; John 14:6; Acts 4:12
There are requirements to enter this way – John 3:5; 8:24; Mark16:15-16; Acts 2:38

The way is hard
This way of life is more difficult – Matthew 16:24-26; Luke 14:25-33
There are rules and boundaries – Ephesians 4:17-32; James 1:22-27

This way leads to life
An abundant life here and now! – John 10:10
The end is Eternal life in Heaven – Matthew 5:11-12

Those who find it are few
Very few will choose this way of life – Luke 13:22-30
Only a few are willing to put forth the effort and make the sacrifices necessary to obtain Eternal Life – 2 Peter 1:3-11
