Drawing Graphs Steps to drawing graphs correctly.
Make sure your data is accurate. Decide which variable makes up the horizontal axis (it is the one you control, not the one you measure). Find out the range for each axis – (usually 0 – largest value) Split the range into a sensible number of sections that will fit in squares on the graph paper. Select portrait or landscape for the graph paper based on (4) Draw the axes in pencil, label and title in pen. (remember units) Plot points and draw the curve.
