High-level study tours to Canadian colleges
1. Raise awareness of the province's leaders on TVET First High-level Study Tour: Mr. Nguyễn Văn Thanh, Vice Chairman of PPC and Mr. Trần Thanh Tùng, Rector of VLCC ( /5/2015). Second High-level Study Tour: Mr. Nguyễn Văn Quang, Chairman of PPC (3 -7/10/2016). Third High-level Study Tour: Mr. Lữ Quang Ngời, Vice Chairman of PPC ( /9/2017). High-level study tours to Canadian colleges

1. Raise awareness of the province's leaders on TVET
Provincial leaders and VLCC leaders participated in and provided inputs at two Policy Forums These inputs have made impacts on MOET’s and MOLISA’s considerations in supplementing and amending TVET policies E.g.: Amendment in articulation regulations in favor of students; tuition-free policies for students of vocational high schools.

2. Enhance education management capacity for college's leadership
The college leaders attended a number of training courses and workshops Labor market study Barriers study School development strategy establishment and administration Student-centered teaching method Quality assurance Student recruitment and marketing Student services Etc.

Study tour of VLCC’s leaderhip to Niagara College
3. Improve the TVET system The VLCC leadership’s study tour to Niagara College to sign MOU (23/ /11/2015). Technical mission on recruitment management for school administrators for (11-19/10/2016) Study tour of VLCC’s leaderhip to Niagara College

4. Capacity Building and Training Quality improvement
Increase employability of students Establish champions of change - CoC Organize DACUM training workshops - practice designing a food technology curriculum Establish Program Advisory Committee (PAC) Training workshops on development of learning outcomes, curricula, course outlines, teaching and learning plans

Professional training at Niagara College
4. Capacity Building and Training Quality improvement Increase employability of students Professional training at Niagara College 10 Food Technology instructors attended a two-week professional training course at Niagara College on professional knowledge (food technology), integrated teaching and laboratory management.

5. Establish Mekong Food and Agriculture Technology (MFAT) Center
Scientific research Address technical challenges encountered by industry Support student's experiment Provide support to industry on food quality indicators testing Provide support to enhance students’ employability

6. Capacity Building for Instructors
DACUM training Interpreter training Training on program development Training on development of course detailed outline, teaching and learning plans Training on teaching techniques and methodology Training on enrollment management Training on student affairs

7. Provide equipment and machines for teaching
and development of MFAT center Equipment and machines provided include 57 categories valued at CAD 350,000 2 packages received, including: Package 1: High Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC) and Gas Chromatograph (GC); Package 2: equipment and machines for integrated classroom; Package 3 is expected to be delivered by: Nov. 13, 2017

DELIVERABLES Completed learning materials for new Food Technology program. Established Program Advisory Committee. Finalized VLCC's competency profile. Established VLCC's development strategy. Developed recruitment strategy.

DELIVERABLES Designed and put into use the new logo. Completed the college's brand identity package. Adjusted college leftlet and disciplines' leftlet for recruitment season. Established MFAT center. Received two packages of equipment and machines and organized training on use.

DELIVERABLES Instructors achieved high results in the Provincial Instructor Excellence Contest thanks to applying the proactive learning strategy as trained from the project DACUM used to design the vocational-level Nursing program. The program was accredited by the DOET and recruitment started in 2016 VLCC’s faculties used program development knowledge to adjust the training programs following MOLISA’s requirements Two additional CoC programs developed: Corporate Governance and Animal Health

VLCC as a modern college Programs are designed with competency-based DACUM analysis “Student-centered” Teaching and Learning activities. Instructors have professional competence and quality teaching methods Programs are designed to ensure articulation/transfer to university
