2. What is Colonial?
The Colonial style evolved from European influences, which started in the 1600s.
Many colonists emigrated from Europe and brought those influences with them.
Colonists settled primarily along the Eastern Seaboard and built homes that became the Colonial style.

3. What is a Colonial Home?
The focal point is in the centre where the door is located
Colonial homes are symmetrical – the left and right sides are generally the same

4. Floors & Windows
There are generally two floors but there can also be one
There are usually four windows on the first floor and five on the second with one being above the door

Why?
A two storey house in the front and one storey in the back.
From the front the house appears to be a two storey home.
