4 What is Matter? Anything that has mass and takes up space (volume)

5 What forms does matter come in?
Solid Liquid Gas Plasma

6 States of Matter Solid has definite shape and definite volume but molecules still vibrate in position. as-the-stock-video-footage/ Ice

7 States of Matter Liquid
has undefined shape but defined volume - Water

8 States of Matter Gas has undefined shape and undefined volume. - Steam

9 States Of Matter Plasma https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuUJwFLUpS0
very hot gasses undefined shape and volume only exist at high temperatures (i.e. the sun)

10 3 main states of matter

11 Physical Properties Characteristics of a substance that can be observed without altering the identity of the substance. State, density, color, odor, melting point, boiling point, luster, conductivity, brittleness, malleability.

12 Chemical Properties Characteristics of a substance that cannot be observed without altering the identity of the substance. Reactivity, flammability, reaction types

13 Closure Draw pictures that represents a solid, a liquid, and a gas.
Explain each drawing.
