PASSPORT Your valid passport must have at least six (6) months of remaining validity and at least one blank visa page in it. If you need a passport, please apply for one now. You will need it a couple of months prior to departure in order to apply for your visa.

CHINESE VISA: EACH TRAVELER NEEDS A VISA TO ENTER CHINA
China has very specific requirements for obtaining a visa: *If you are under 18, you need to provide additional documentation from your parents (copy of passport or notarized letter stating you can travel): **On Tuesday, I had to change my driver’s licence so that my ID matched my passport. We won’t apply until we have a letter from EF, (spring) but I want you to have all your documentation prepared and ready to go. Please see handout.

VACCINATIONS Travelers to Shanghai and Beijing, China are recommend to be up-to-date on routine vaccines, immunized against Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B, Polio, and possibly Typhoid.Consult with your doctor 4-6 weeks prior to departure.

ATM Card (verify with your bank that the symbol on the card is valid in China) The currency used is China is known as the Chinese Yuan (CNY) or the Renminbi (RMB) or commonly known as "kwai" ("equivalent of "bucks" in the U.S.). The most common bill is 100RMB and is what is distributed by the ATMs.
