In which social class were farmers? What was a farmers life like in ancient Egypt?
Farmers belonged to the 2nd to lowest social class. They usually worked on land that was owner by wealthy nobles and paid their rent with a portion of the crops. They generally lived in simple, one room houses and had simple diets of bread, vegetable and fruit.
