Feedback from AGC – Student Rights Section
Question regarding use of “capricious” in student rights section Stated: “The right to be protected from capricious academic evaluation.” Suggestion to define what is meant by capricious; say what we mean (a.ii.) Changed to: “The right to consistent academic evaluation in relation to other students.”

Feedback from AGC – Student Rights Section
Question regarding use of “take exception" in student rights section - suggestion to take it out (c.ii.) Stated “In the classroom, students may take exception to the information and may reserve judgment about matters of opinion, but they are responsible for learning the content of the course. Another member suggested “exception” should remain, to allow students the right to take exception with the material/content being presented In regards to academic freedom, the faculty contract states, "students are free to take reasoned exception to the data or views offered and to reserve judgment about matters of opinion." Changed code language to match faculty contract language

Questions about permitted “weapons” and alcohol “Unauthorized Possession” language covers these areas Included reference to specific policies for full details, similar to Tobacco Free/e-cig policy

AGC specifically to provide input on direct academic components (Academic Dishonesty and Classroom Conduct) Seeking Endorsement and Recommendations Post AGC Endorsement, moves to Cabinet for final review
