The script writers need to interpret the treatment and turn it into a workable tool for the production crew.
Include dialogue, camera direction, editing direction, location, set description, props, costumes, and stage direction.
This is an extremely important planning tool.

A storyboard is a blueprint or visual map of your story.
Allows everyone to work together with the same vision.
Provides valuable information for the actors, cinematographer, director, and editors.

Use various camera shots to create professional visuals.

Save Video Shot on the Same Day
Plug the camera into the USB input on the computer.
Wait for the computer to prompt you to take action.
Save all videos into a folder created for your crew.
When you are sure they have transferred, close the program.
Delete the videos from the camera.
(We will learn more about this in a future lesson.)

Import Your Videos into Video Editing Program
Open Windows Movie Maker.
Click “import video”.
Choose the folder created for your crew / Click import.
Repeat for each segment recorded in your file.
Save project in your crew’s folder.

Rough Cut
Use your storyboards as a guide.
Use Movie Maker to trim your segments
Place segments into the program’s storyboard in the order needed.
Save your project!
(Saving frequently will prevent any loss of completed work.)
Once the order is correct, The Rough Cut is complete.

Add the Finishing Touches
Add music to enhance the mood of your film.
Use transitions between scenes or cuts as described in the script.
Add any effects or titles necessary.
Include opening and closing credits with music.
Save, and your project is complete and ready for exhibiting!
