Long before Jesus was born, God was preparing for His coming (1 Pet. 1:20).
Finally the time came when everything was ready (Gal. 4:4-5).
Jesus was miraculously born into the world (Mat. 1:18-25).

3. The Baby, The Man The purpose of Jesus’ birth.
That Jesus was born in not really the important thing, but that He was born for a purpose is what is important.
During the preparation for His birth this purpose was always there.
Without this purpose the birth of Jesus is no big event.
Jesus, Himself, gave this purpose for coming into the world (Lk. 19:10).
Before the foundation of the world, this purpose was there (1 Pet. 1:18-21; Acts 2:23; 2 Tim. 1:9-10).
Prophecy concerning Jesus’ coming into the world had this purpose (Isa. 53:4-6).

4. The Baby, The Man How this relates to us today.
His birth is related directly to our salvation.
The purpose of His birth is directly related to our salvation.
Unless one realizes this, the birth of Jesus means absolutely nothing.

5. The Baby, The Man How this relates to us today.
When one realizes this, then Jesus’ birth becomes important because of the purpose of His birth.
This will make one realize he has to listen and obey what Jesus, the man, has to say (Jn. 3:36).
If one does not obey the will of the Lord, then the birth of Jesus becomes meaningless.
If one does not obey what the grown man, Jesus, says, then the baby Jesus he worships can do nothing for him.
