4 Preparedness Cyclone preparedness plan Prepositioning/Stock of food (modalities: in-kind, cash) A cyclone or tropical depression causes major flooding and wind damage with major impact on refugee sites and host communities. Refugees Host communities (HC) Food assistance - immediate food assistance (Fortified biscuit) for the first 3 to 7 days: Targeting: the most affected districts and the most vulnerable people (HC); all refugees. - Blanket Supplementary Feeding Programme for the PLW and U5 (HC and Refugees) - short term food assistance (in cash or in kind or mix, as define by the FSC package). Early Recovery livelihoods - livelihood package - Cash for work for the rehabilitation of fishing and farming infrastructures

8 Rohingya Crisis Overview
23 October 2017 Bangladesh Emergency Response The recent violence in Myanmar’s Rakhine State has led to widespread movement of the Rohingya population both within Myanmar and across the border into Bangladesh. The newly arrived Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh live in extremely precarious and deteriorating conditions, requiring an immediate and comprehensive scale-up of the relief response. Given the current volatile situation, the numbers continue to increase. 603,000 people have been displaced since August 25th 2017. FOOD SECURITY UPDATES: KEY FACTS AND FIGURES FSS PEOPLE TARGETED MEN / WOMEN BREAKDOWN WFP with its partners has started distribution of the FSS coordinated full Food Package for 2 weeks ration starting since 7 October Next round will start on 25 October Package includes 25 kg rice, 4kg pulse, 2 litter vegetable oil, 0.5 kg iodine salt and 1 kg sugar.
