Tú with an accent mark means you (familiar). It is a subject pronoun. Tu without an accent mark means your, as in your book. It is a possessive adjective because it describes who the book belongs to.

Mother is feminine, therefore use nuestra.
Our mother = Nuestra madre

El libro is masculine, therefore use the masculine possessive (even if you are a girl).
