Main changes Business Development Consultants not involved in delivering induction apart from completion of the ILR. Teaching & Learning Executives to deliver induction for newly employed apprentices (normally year old. Teaching and learning Executives to deliver induction for apprentices already employed by employer (normally over 19)

Induction for new starts
Delivered by Mary or Marie Held at one of three centres Induction available from each centre every three weeks All newly employed apprentices must attend, ideally before their first day, but not essential.

Newly appointed apprentice
BDC complete ILR and confirm start date. Same day send pro-forma via Share Point to central admin./Director of Operations. Director of Operations confirms end date and allocates T&LC by noon of second day. T& LE completes induction training. T&L C completes first visit within four weeks of start date.

Apprentice already employed
BDC complete ILR and confirm start date (day ILR signed). Same day send pro-forma via Share Point to central admin./Director of Operations. Director of Operations confirms end date and allocates T&LC by noon of second day. T&L C completes induction training/first visit within four weeks of start date.

Conversion BDC complete ILR and confirm start date (day ILR signed).
Same day send pro-forma via Share Point to central admin./Director of Operations. Director of Operations confirms end date and allocates T&LC by noon of second day. T&L C completes induction training/first visit within four weeks of start date.

Induction – newly appointed learner
Introduction and welcome Appropriate paperwork (minimum 30 minutes) Learner handbook (minimum 1 hour) Health and safety training (minimum 1 hour) Equality and Diversity (minimum 30 minutes) Safeguarding (minimum 30 minutes) Update ILP (record initial assessment and induction training)
