Navigating the Van Tuyl Management Reports
This Operations Guide provides you with the basic knowledge of how to navigate the online Van Tuyl Management Reporting System. The Reports monitor daily and monthly Dealership Operations. They track performance, effectiveness and efficiency with drilldown to detail. The system has a fully integrated SQL database and provides access 24/7 from anywhere.

Overview All Report data is integrated within a SQL Database. This produces data conformity between reports, space saving efficiency and reduces error proliferation. All Reports are updated by 12 noon Monday thru Friday. Both the Daily Sales and Expense Doc provide drilldown into the General Ledger. All Reports can be downloaded into Excel. Main Dashboard Login Page
In the address bar of Internet Explorer type: . then click ‘GO’. This will take you to the Reports Website. What You Will See Note: Thicker (Red) Arrows from Gray text boxes navigate to the next Screen. ‘Login’ to the your Homepage (MyDashboard) using the Login and Password supplied by your Administrator. ‘MyDashboard’ is your Portal to all VanTuyl Reports. Over seventy percent (70%) of the Daily Report’s data is automatically extracted from the Vendor System (ADP). However, some data must be entered on Data Entry Screens. Click ‘Data Entry’

The Daily Doc is the default Data Entry Screen. To enter data for previous dates, select the date and click ‘GO’ What You Will See Data Entry Sections Be sure to Select your Entry Status, then click ‘Save’.

Daily Sales Doc Comparison Screen
What You Will See This is the Daily Sales Doc Screen. Navigate to a STORE VIEW Report by selecting a single store and click ‘GO’ To drilldown into GL Detail, click on ‘Show/Hide Links’ then on a data cell.

Daily Sales Doc – Store View
The Alarm Percentage Settings (that control the Green, Yellow and Red Settings) can be edited in the ‘Setup Benchmark’ Section. What You Will See Month-to-Date Month-end Projections Alarms are based on the % difference between The End of Month Projection Amount and the Benchmark Amount. The default Benchmark is the 3 month average. You can also use your Budget as a Benchmark.

Daily Sales Doc – Budget Setup
This screen enables you to enter Budget Data as Benchmarks in the Daily Sales Doc’s Store View. If left blank, the 3 month average is the default Benchmark. Click on the Budget link to input Budget Benchmarks Remember to click ‘SAVE’

Monthly Reports There are currently 41 Combined Monthly Reports in the System - many with optional views. In addition, the System also includes: Supplemental Statistics Sales Staffing Report Sales Manager's Report (MTD) Sales Composite Report (MTD) Sales Assistant's Report (MTD) 18, 19 Trend Reports (Excel only) Financial Statements (GM & Franchise) All Reports can be downloaded into Excel.

Monthly Reports Navigation Screens (Linked from myDashboard)
Navigate to Monthly Reports by clicking on the ‘Report’ Tab.

What You Will See The white ‘Tabs’ along the top of the screen navigate to Monthly Report Sections. Click on ‘Van Stats’ to view online the Monthly Comparison Reports. Click on ‘Download and Print Monthly Reports’ to capture the Van Stats Monthly Reports Zip File.

Choose ‘MPP Contest Standings’
This Section contains the 41 standard Comparison Reports and Month-to-Date Sales Managers, Sales Composite, Sales Assistants and Sales Staffing Reports. Most Reports can be displayed by Month, Store, Multiple Stores or pre-assigned Store Groups. Select Month and Year and the Report you want to display. Then select one or more Stores. For multiple Stores, hold down ‘Ctrl’ Key while selecting Stores. Select a current Store GROUP or create a new Group. Choose ‘MPP Contest Standings’
