1 Summary of Offline Discussion on RMSI CORESET Configuration (Part 2)
3GPP TSG RAN WG1#91 R1-17XXXXX Reno, USA, November 27th – December 1st, 2017 Agenda item: Summary of Offline Discussion on RMSI CORESET Configuration (Part 2) Samsung

2 Background For Pattern 2

3 Background For Pattern 3

4 Proposal 1 When the SS/PBCH blocks and corresponding RMSI CORESETs occur in different time instances, NR supports the configuration where the RMSI CORESET monitoring window associated with the SS/PBCH block SSB_i in a burst set is defined as follows:  The RMSI CORESET monitoring window duration with RMSI numerology is 2 slots;  The starting slot index S with RMSI numerology for the monitoring window of SSB_i, referring to the SFN boundary, is determined by  S = X*n + O*n + f(i)  where n = (SSB SCS/15 kHz) X = 0 if the SSB_i is allocated in the first half frame of a radio frame; and X = 5, if the SSB_i is allocated in the second half frame of a radio frame O can be configured as {0, 2, 5} when SSB SCS is 15kHz or 30kHz; and configured as {0, 2.5, 5} when SSB SCS is 120kHz or 240kHz Alt1: f(i) = floor(i/N), i is the SSB index of SSB_i Alt2: f(i) = floor(i*M) M equals 1/2, if N=2; M = 1 or 2, if N=1; N is the number of search space sets per slot, which can be configured as {1, 2}  The starting symbol R for the RMSI CORESET monitoring window is determined as follows For the 30kHz SSB SCS/15kHz RMSI SCS LTE-NR coexistence case, R = 2; For other cases, when N = 1, R = 0 when N = 2, R is obtained with one of the following options: Option 1: R={0,l} where l={1,2} is the CORESET duration Option 2: {0,7}  The number of RMSI search space sets to monitor is at most one per SSB within duration of 14 symbols with RMSI numerology.   Need to have only one option before submit for online approval  How does the UE know which option to use?
