Target Appeals and Adjustments
What is a Target Appeal: A target appeal is a last resort option for each model year warranty issues where there is a failure to react by FCA . These submissions are to address special warranty circumstances, and are submitted to either decrease supplier’s c/1000s data or to increase the warranty target for the model year. This appeal is to lessen the expense of the warranty reduction program for the following year. Adjusting the C/1000s data may impact supplier EBSC, but it is not guaranteed and scores will not be retrofitted to reflect the appeal. How do Target Appeals work: Target appeal submissions are reviewed and managed by a FCA cross-functional team. These appeals are created by the supplier and submitted through the SAWRP website, and must be made prior to November 15 of each calendar year. It is the responsibility of the supplier to present data and evidence of their efforts to support why the claims should be removed or the warranty target increased. Why is it useful: Target appeals address special circumstances such as: Warranty Information System constraints Later target change due to part reassignments from one commodity to another Product maturity New Technology Target appeals are to help suppliers that are actively involved in warranty reduction, and must demonstrate such in the appeal. Additional Target Appeal information found in SAWRP Policies and Procedures

Target Appeals and Adjustments
January 15, 2016 Target Appeals and Adjustments Suppliers may appeal Targets to address special circumstances such as: Warranty Information System constraints (warranty not being assigned correctly) Late target change due to part reassignments from one commodity to another New technology Appeals based on a failure of FCA US to react to a supplier’s recommended corrective action, or where the causal factor is clearly beyond the realm of the supplier’s control, will only be considered after escalation by Supplier Quality to the appropriate level within Engineering and Quality Appeal managed by cross-functional team Supplier Quality (BICEEP) (as required) Supplier Quality Warranty Warranty Cost Recovery (as required) Appeals MUST be submitted prior to November 15th, 2017 FCA US may establish or adjust targets under special circumstances: New Commodity or parts added to or removed from an existing Commodity Target is driven by poor performance by a minority of Suppliers in the Commodity Target Appeal explanations. Note that the appeals are reviewed by a cross-functional team. Target Appeals MUST be submitted by Nov 15th or they will be automatically denied. Warranty Information System constraint Example- 2 SMLC’s providing the same part number to Warren Truck Assm Plant and to Saltillo, All of the warranty is getting assigned to Warranty Truck Assm, this is an appealable condition. This is a known WIS constraint as WIS will assigned warranty to the most recent Purchase Order. Late Target change due to part reassignments from one commodity to another- Example, your FCA buyer moves part numbers to a different commodity during the year. You were in 11AA and now your in 11AB, This is an appealable condition. New Technology- Example Brand new technology, no historical data Failure of FCA to react to a suppliers recommended corrective action – Example Supplier brought new ideas and FCA did not react or implement ideas that would effect the 2017MY (JK to JL or DS to DT /all changes frozen).
