2 Monday, 10/10 1. Aloof- adj.- not friendly or forthcoming; cool and distant. 2. Stereotype-noun- a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing. 3. Elite- noun- a select part of a group that is superior to the rest in terms of ability or qualities 4. Dumbfounded- verb- past tense- to be greatly astonished or amazed. 5. Reckless- adj.- (of a person or their actions) without thinking or caring about the consequences of an action. 6. Incredulous-adj.- (of a person or their manner) unwilling or unable to believe something.

3 Tuesday, 7. Ornery- adj.- bad-tempered and combative.
8. Contemptuous- adj.- showing contempt or hate; scornful. 9. Gallant-adj.- (of a person or their behavior) brave; heroic. 10. Winced- verb-to give a slight involuntary grimace or shrinking movement of the body out of or in anticipation of pain or distress. 11. Acquit- verb- free (someone) from a criminal charge by a verdict of not guilty. 12. Semicolon- punctuation mark (;) indicating a pause, typically between two main clauses, that is more pronounced than that indicated by a comma.
