We have had some chick eggs delivered to school for us the hatch. The children in Foundation and KS1 have loved watching our chicks hatch and grow.
In foundation we work from a document called ‘development matters’. This is how we assess children and help them with their next steps. This is the statement linked to our learning this week.

3. Our eggs arrived in an incubator
Our eggs arrived in an incubator. We had so much fun watching and waiting for them to hatch.

4. After a day our chicks began to hatch…

5. Even our parents have loved watching our chicks grow too!

6. Once their feathers had dried out, we moved them into their chick run and gave then some food and water. We love our baby chicks!
