BMXP Operation Memo Taper Cutting --Laid abnormity

Demo: Let’s cut a sample, top is a triangle edge width 25mm, bottom is a circle dia. 36mm
Step 1, Create Path1 for Bigger drawing No matter top or bottom drawing, which is bigger, create path1 first

1./ Make Sure Offset is None and
offset value is 0 2./ Suggest start point below the drawing lines

Step 2, Create Path1 for Smaller drawing
Still Value 0, offset :None Note: The start point must be same !!!

Cut point not in line Cut point in line When you choose cut point on smaller drawing, please note: Different cut point position, different shape

We take cut point in line for example.
Important Note: 1./ top and bottom path must have same start point 2./ top and bottom path mush have same cutting direction Now, Step 3, Create Path of Taper Menu “BMXP” >> “Create Path of Taper”

Step 4, Taper Parameters 1./ Choose “Laid Abnormity” 2./ Input and Choose blue line highlighted items (see cone cutting for reference) 3./ Click on 1st Line in Table

Step 5, Select Path 5.1/ select the top path Click on triangle or drag a rectangle to select

5.2/ select the bottom path
Click on circle or drag a rectangle to select

5.2/ Input new silk point Click any where. Note: silk point is a wrong translation, it means start point

Step 6, Send Path to Wire Cut
Menu “BMXP” >> “Send Taper Path to Wire Cut”

3./ Thickness Setting Click Button “Settings” Click Label “Work” Input thickness in last line Then Click OK

4./ Start Cutting Click “Wire” or Press F4 Click “Pump” or Press F5 Click “HF Power” or PressF7 !! Check Wire Vertical !! Click “Work Start” or Press F3 Click “OK”

Congratulation !! Import Note:
1./ You must check and adjust the wire vertical when you a.) You just change the Z axis ( raised or lower the Up frame) b.) You put a new metal block for cutting c.) Wire Broken during Taper Cutting d.) It’s first time taper cutting after you install the machine 2./ You must cut a cone for test and use Taper Calc to correct H1 & H2 when you: a.) It’s first time taper cutting after you install the machine b.) You just change the Z axis ( raised or lower the Up frame) c.) You fix the work piece in a different height 3./ When the Taper <= +/-3 degree , the precision is <=0.04mm When the Taper <= +/- 30 degree, the precision is <=0.1mm Here are few Tips for you: …(Next Page)

Tip1, When wire is on start point position, “Clear XUYV” to Zero.
Tip2, Abnormal Stop during Taper Cutting, Click “Go to Origin” can make wire back to Vertical status.
