Other sources of protein – Fish, seafood, nuts, pork, chicken, turkey, beans and pulses What does protein do for/to our bodies? – They build tissues, cells and muscles and make hormones

6 Vitamins What is the main source of vitamins? – There are many vitamins and so the main source varies per vitamin. For example, the best source for Vitamin D is milk because it helps your bones, for Vitamin A it’s carrots because they help you see at night, for Vitamin C it’s oranges because they help your body heal if you get a cut, etc. Other sources of vitamins – As I just mentioned, there are many vitamins so the main source varies but some examples include whole grains (Vitamin B) because they help your body make energy, almonds (Vitamin E) because they are good for blood circulation, leafy greens (spinach, Brussels sprouts, etc. for Vitamin K) because they are good for working against blood coagulation (the process of how the bloods clogs), etc. What to vitamins do for/to our bodies? – Our bodies need vitamins to work properly and to help us grow the way we should. The two vitamins that exist are water and fat soluble vitamins. Water soluble vitamins are vitamins that travel right through our bloodstream and whatever isn’t used comes out when we urinate. Fat soluble vitamins are stored in fat tissues in our body and liver. They stay stored in our body until we need them and can stay stored for up to 6 months!
