2 Going beyond the traditional, linear, public access TV model
Develop creative ways to cross-pollinate with others to help increase your visibility, form new partnerships & keep the energy alive in order to stay relevant!

3 Rough Cut Media Series A quarterly community building event for SCATV members and the community to convene to give positive feedback on media projects (not held at SCATV).

4 Local Tours of Media Center
On-going tours encourage local schools, churches, meetup groups and others to tour your facility & see what you have to offer.

5 Community Vault: a retrospective community media screening
A community building event that celebrated and gave recognition to all the hard work of community media centers over the last 30 years. ACM-NE provided funding for this event to help show their support for local community media events.

6 Community Vault - a win/win

7 Mobile Storytelling Bus
A collaboration with the Somerville Arts Council to develop an archive of the city’s history through interviews. The bus is setup at different events and we collect various stories about time, place and community.

8 Potluck & Lecture Series
A quarterly event that invites people in the media & film industry to share their knowledge and inspiration to SCATV members & to the community. past guests: Arlington Int’l film festival, 48 Hour Film Festival Boston, Local Filmmakers

9 Collaborative Productions
Legacies: a Journey through the Lives of Elders (Cambridge Health Alliance) Meet the Merchants series with Somerville Local First

10 Cinema Somerville series
Inspired by Cinema Northampton - The event series is free and is open to the community-at-large. It builds community in Somerville through collaborations with community organizations and residents by presenting free public film screenings at various locations in Somerville.

11 Cool events/projects, now what?
