2 MORPH Morph means SHAPE. Amorphous – lacking shape
Metamorphosis – A change in shape or structure. Caterpillar to butterfly

3 Vest = Clothes Vestment – A ceremonial robe or garment. Vest

8 P a t e r = F a t h e r Patronize - to behave or treat in a condescending way. Patricide – to kill one’s father Patriarch - the male head of a family.

15 A M P H I = B O T H AMPHIBIANS – Frogs, toads, & salamanders are amphibians – live in both the water and land. Amphitheater – A stadium, theater, or auditorium. Amphiaster - The formation of compound words.

16 M A G N A = G R E A T fine; great. Magnificent work
Magna Carta – means “Great Charter” What our Constitution was modeled after. Magnificent – extraordinary; fine; great. Magnificent work Magnate – A person of great influence in a particular field of work

17 E U = G O O D Eulogy - praise for a person who has died
Euphemism - To pass away is a euphemism for to die. A mild way of saying something that is thought to be too harsh. Eucharist – Holy communion. Also – giving thanks.

18 ENDO = WITHIN Terminator had an endoskeleton
Endoplasm – The inner portion of a cell Endothermic – the absorption of heat (heat within)

19 P H O B I A : F E A R Claustrophobia – the fear of being in small
narrow areas. I wonder if Aron Ralston is now claustrophobic. Arachnophobia  - Abnormal fear of spiders. Hydrophobia - Someone with hydrophobia would not want to swim in a river.

20 ORTHO = STRAIGHT An orthodontist – uses braces to straighten teeth!

24 MEGA = LARGE Cheerleaders use a megaphone to make their voices larger / louder! A megalopolis is a large city! Megalomania – Donald Trump might be a megalomaniac – likes to do things in grand or in a large fashion!

25 Pop = People A popular person is favored by
or has the approval of the people. Populate – to furnish with people Popularize – to make attractive to a large number of people.

26 Sangui = Blood Sanguine – To be sanguine in appearance
(to have a red / ruddy appearance) Sangria – An iced drink generally made out of red wine. The Civil War had several sanguinary battles.
