1 Non-verbal communication techniques
A few ways to ensure that your audience is engaged, and that you are demonstrating confidence and professionalism.

2 Gestures are a way to create engagement and show your audience that you’re excited about your topic.
Using gestures can help your listeners understand and remember what you’re saying. Gestures can help you say what you mean without using a visual aid. Show conviction and confidence Gestures

3 Smiling vs. frowning can make an impression on your audience.
Keep your listeners engaged by looking interested, instead of bored. Some facial expressions are specific to culture, so people speaking cross-culturally can often misunderstand one another (appropriate eye contact) Facial expressions

4 It’s a good idea to start off by finding a friendly face, and looking at that person while you deliver your introduction. As you move to your second thought, shift your gaze to a different individual. Look at different sections of the audience as you move on. 6 Posture – carrying yourself well
Stand up straight, but be relaxed and natural. Conveys confidence and authority Don’t appear too casual or lean on anything – this will distract from your message Try not to sway or rock, it will distract your audience from your presentation Put your feet six-eight inches apart, bend your knees, and put pressure on the balls of your feet. Put your hands down at your sides, and let your shoulders fall back. Lift your chin slightly. Posture – carrying yourself well
