TechAnywhere Android Credit Card Processing with OpenEdge OpenEdge™

OpenEdge Mobile: Install
You’ll need to install and setup the OpenEdge Mobile Android application before being able to process credit cards in TechAnywhere. To install, search for “openedge” in the Google Play Store.

OpenEdge Mobile: Setup [Login]
Open the OpenEdge Mobile app and login with your OpenEdge credentials to obtain access to the settings. NEW: You should now be able to skip this step and access it directly from TechAnywhere when attempting to process your first credit card. Once logged in, click the OpenEdge Mobile logo in the top left to open the sidebar. Click the ‘Swiper Settings’ button to setup your credit card swiping device.

OpenEdge Mobile: Setup [Swiper]
Select the credit card swiper that matches the device the tech will use. Then check the Save MAC Address option to view a list of connected or paired devices. If you see your device in the list, select it and press SAVE. You are now ready to process credit cards in TechAnywhere! If your device is not in the list, click the SCAN FOR DEVICES button. This will look for a new device to pair with. You may need to enter the device’s PIN to pair to the device. This is usually ‘0000’ or ‘1234’.

TechAnywhere: COD Payment
Step 2 Enter a value for the dollar amount you wish to process through OpenEdge. Then click the Process Credit Card button. Step 1 You will be at the total screen after filling out all work order entries in your COD work order. Click the Add Payment button to enter a payment method. Step 3 Select the method: Credit Card Swipe -OR- Manual Entry

Step 4 If swiping, the screens will prompt when the device is connected and ready to accept a credit card swipe. When the credit card is swiped, TechAnywhere will begin processing the card through OpenEdge Mobile.

Step 5 After the credit card is processed, OpenEdge Mobile will prompt for a signature capture to agree the charges. After the signature is accepted, the screen will return back to the payment list to show the approved payment.

SAMPro Results The following can be found in SAMPro as a result of processing a credit card through TechAnywhere: Payment on COD tab of work order (figure 1) Credit Card Authorization document attached to Client Site and Work Order records (figures 2,3) Figure 1 Figure 2 Figure 3
