4 What is Energy? Energy is the ability to do work.
Work is the transfer of energy.

Kinetic Energy - energy of being in motion. Potential Energy - the energy of shape or position (stored energy.)

12 Rubber Band Lab With a partner…
Take turns being the shooter and the measurer. Stand behind the line. Shoot the rubber band off the end of the popsicle stick. Measure how far you are pulling the rubber band back before you let go. Measure how far the rubber band traveled from the line. Record the data. Ask you are completing this lab, think… POTENTIAL ENERGY? KINETIC ENERGY?
